CALL ME BASQUIAT

This edition combines a series of collages of photographs and paintings made by the American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat which are associated with a typography inspired by his handwriting.

The choice of merging the techniques of photography and painting came out of my passion for Art history and also because of the model’s resemblance to the artist and our common interest in his work. Discussing with the models I take pictures of is really important to me because it is an intimate experience and each of us brings their uniqueness to the project.
